Docue e-sign is now even better than before

We have released an update to our electronic signature function, based on our customers feedback. Big thank you to all our customers who have shared their thoughts and experiences!

One of the most requested features has been to be able to type your signature onto a document. This is now possible!

The typed signature adds your signature in cursive text to the document.

The signature text field is also automatically filled out based on the information added to the document in question, but can be edited if needed.

With Docue's electronic signature, you minimise the risks associated with signing. It enables you to identify your contract partner, verify the flow of the signing process and store your files safely.

When using electronic signatures, a timestamp and other technical pieces of evidence are created to show the progress of the signature process and the date of the signature more comprehensively than with traditional signatures. With an electronic signature, you have strong evidence that the signature has been made by a specific person.

Our electronic signatures work regardless of the signatory’s place of residence and nationality, meaning documents can be signed anywhere at anytime.

Legal validity of electronic signatures

The Law Commission has approved the use of electronic signatures as a method for signing contracts and other legal documents in England and Wales, finding that, due to a combination of the UK eIDAS, the ECA 2000 and case law, electronic signatures are legally valid. Find out more about the decision here.

Thank you again for helping us improve our platform!

Any future feedback you may have can be shared with us through the platform, by participating in our surveys or sharing your thoughts with our support.
